KS2 Tudor Norwich at the Time of Ketts Rebellion

Maximum group size 60, £6 per student, 10am until 2pm, minimum fee £240, available Thursdays and Fridays only.
The event
1549: Strangers' Hall is gearing up for a visit from the Mayor of Norwich, but there are rumours of a rebellion which might just spoil the plans. The members of the household are divided about the suspected rebellion, and everyone has their own opinions.
Discover how our different characters feel about the rebellion, find out about life in a Tudor household, learn how to weave, and help prepare the house for whatever might happen.
Aims and learning outcomes
History
- Inspire pupils' curiosity about the past and equip them to ask perceptive questions, think critically, weigh evidence, sift arguments and develop perspective and judgement.
- Raise awareness and understanding of an important event in local and national history.
- Engage children with museum objects as sources of inspiration, knowledge and exploration.
- Expand children's understanding of the culture and beliefs of people during the period.
